The unique wine restaurant ART&FOOD Had is situated nearby the National Theatre and Petřín hill. It is run by very cordial and honest man - Vlastimil Svatý - he is the guardian of the quality. This family style restaurant offers imaginative gastronomy based on traditional Czech cuisine and fine wines from around the world that blend perfectly with dishes. The cuisine’s focus is the modern adaptation of original Czech recipes along with international cuisine. Every day we offer a menu from fresh seasonal products and produce from small farms. A number of foodstuffs, such as cheese, meat, sausages, can be purchased by visitors directly at the restaurant like in a farmers market. The restaurant is also an original art gallery with more than two hundred paintings.

Vlastimil Svatý, a restaurateur and manager of artists Pavel Brázda and Michal Singer, has created a unique art gallery in the ART & FOOD Had restaurant. He displays two hundred original images on two floors of his wine restaurant which visitors can see every day from noon to two o'clock in the morning. Vlastimil Svatý invites his customers to appreciate the opportunity to sit right among the works of art. "Normally, visitors must go to the National Gallery to see Pavel Brázda's and Michal Singer's paintings; at our restaurant they can enjoy their works undisturbed in a unique atmosphere while relishing good wine," he says.

We love this place as it is run by really good people who try hard and guard the quality. There are coming many Czech people for the good quality lunch or a nice dinner. Meals are very tasty. Many locals even take the food home - so the restautrant offers discount for the take away portions. Also the restaurant is located on the edge of the historical area in the un-touristy zone of Smíchov.
You can often see the local artist siting and painting ibn the restaurant. They do various workshopr connecting food and art.

Restaurant CELNICE is the sister of the popular restaurant KOLKOVNA. We like this place as it is located on the edge of the historical area in the un-touristy zone. There are coming many Czech people for a beer, fast lunch or a nice dinner. Meals are very tasty. The prices are quite reasonable. They offer traditional Czech cuisine, but light meals too. They serve the famous Pilsener beer! We recommend: the potato soup in the bread. If you come for the lunch ask about the cheaper daily offer.
