Music

Prague offers a lot of classical music concerts. Some are held in the big concert halls and some in the churches.

The best quality offers The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, FOK, Prague Symphony Orchestra, National Theatre, State Opera.

The big concert halls are in: Rudolfinum, Municipal house, National Theatre, State Opera, Estates Theatre

There are also held many smaller concerts in the beautiful Prague churches.

Concerts at Prague Castle - Georges Basilica National museum - steps
Prague Philharmonia

St Francis Church
St Nicholas Church - Lesser Town
St Nicholas Church - Old Town Square

Křižík fountain is an outdoor stage with the illuminated fountain and performers dance together with the music and fountain effects.

Before you choose consider if you find enjoyable the program. Get the good view or mid view tickets. Consider how many musicians will perform. 5 various instruments are more entertaining than one hour flute concert :-)

The smaller concerts are of various quality. Prices do not correspond with the quality (expensive does not have to mean great).

Sarkas tip: The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the concerts held in Rudolfinum offer the highest quality for very reasonable prices. They target local clients, so they can not overprice (as many "tourist concerts" do.
