The best quality you can find at the National Theatre, State Opera, Estates Theatre.
There is a strong tradition of the special Black light theatre in Czech. Czech young actors gained fame and thou a bit of freedom after playing this "non verbal" extraordinary show at Expo in Brussels 1958, during the communistic times.
Most of the Black light theatres play the show in front of the black background and use various illumination tricks. The actors and dancers have interesting costumes (often partly black) so you can see only dancing legs, or flying arms in the air. If you sit too much in front you can see through the tricks, we recommend the 5-15 row.
There are many Black light theatres in Prague. Be careful some offer very poor quality, "cheesy :-)" performances. These usually use names of the world famous theatre shows or music bands to attract people.
The best quality Black light theatres are: Laterna Magica, Image, Fantastica, Metro, Srnec. It is quite interesting experience and fun for all family.
Prices do not correspond with the quality (expensive, does not have to mean the best).

Poetic stories will bring you to the realm of phantasy and imagination. This is the oldest and most original Black light theatre in Prague, Founded in 1961 by Jiri Srnec. They have gained repute and acclaim at 75 international festivals. Seen on all continents.
