Our company has been honored to cooperate with Rick Steves since 2004. We have arranged many local tours for the Rick Steves` Europe groups. Every time he comes to Prague for the book research, we arrange the informative tour for him. We help with the book update, show him new places and share our secrets! You can experience this tour too! Follow the steps of the travel guru - Rick Steves - and see Prague "through the back door".
Rick is very friendly and he allowed us to use his name for our business. We never had to pay for his support. Rick's only principle is uncompromising quality delivered to all travellers! Please respect the fact that we never reveal the date when Rick is in Prague in order to protect his privacy.
This walking tour offers professional and friendly individual care of the same guides who wok for the Rick Steves. Every traveller will get a little " SURPRISE LOCAL TREAT", that they would probably have missed otherwise.
Start the tour any time and any place you like. There will be no group to limit or bother you. The timing, stops, tempo and duration will depend on you. Learn how to escape the tourist traps. Get off the beaten track. Get beyond the stories told in guidebooks. Get involved!
To make the tour more pleasant your guide will meet the you at the hotel (any time you prefer). You will start at the hotel reception with an information session and you'll get a small welcome present: helpful travel tool, maps, bookmarks and a little local treat. Each one of our guides gives her / his own favorite treat to make the tour unique!
First you will discuss the plans and questions and consult details over the Rick Steves "Best of Prague" book. (You will get 10-15 minutes free of charge!). We highly recommend you to bring the book with you, so you can mark the locations of your itinerary.
Then you will start with the walking tour of the noble Hradčany Town, the majestic Prague Castle (partly interior of the St. Vitus Cathedral) and stroll down the quaint Little Quarter. You will promenade across the legendary Charles Bridge and stop at the magic good luck spot. Later you will explore the Old Town with the amazing astronomical clock. You can finish the tour either in the mystic Jewish Town and search for the mythical creature Golem, in the New town of Prague, in the Wenceslas Square area - where the Velvet Revolution took place in 1989 took place.
